Howdy Folks,   Young uns, not so young uns,  with out a doubt, I thank ya all!!!!
What a ride its been !!
About two months ago this here cattle drive was a dream and a vision.  We saw the state of Oklahoma in this here 4 sections.  Four weeks of drivin them doggies. We knew it would take hard working folks to help us move these here cattle across it.
Lets see if I can give you a perspective:

Back in the day I am sure the cowboy would have wondered what he might be up against
crossin what was then Indian territory.  We had our own worries.  We knew we would be
working with Hwy 81, bridges, I-40 etc.  And no offence to them weather people but we
didn't have a clue about the sky either.  Same as back then. So see here folks our vision was filled with what, when, and if.  But we had to do it.

As this here drive of a lifetime kept creepin closer and closer there was no turning back.
"HEAD EM TO KANSAS"  the boss hollered and we headed 'em north.  Ridin Hosses,
pushen doggies they say and that's what we did.  As most of you knew we got rained on
right off the bat. Yep folks we was soaked to the bone and didn't dry for a few days either. But by then we all had smiles on our faces and rosie red cheeks.  We never complained about that weather stuff for the rest of the drive.  YEE HA!!

We could never have put into words the excitement of having folks from across the world
(yes world) turn out to see our work in progress.  As a drover, we put in hard days work and loved every minute of it thanks to YOU!!!  We would have had long days if it weren't for visitors.  We had such a great time meeting with folks who came to see us. The nights were great!!!  We ate great meals prepared by the cookie, smelled the campfire smoke, told big and small tales around the glow of the campfire, and fell asleep under the sea of stars.  Imagine that dream coming true.

We had some wonderful highlights of the drive.  Crossing the Cimarron River, the Salt Fork River, the parades through towns, End of the Trail in Caldwell, KS  what a ride.   Best of all we arrived with no injuries, all the cattle, and a smile on everyone's face.  Dream Come True folks.  Thank you Oklahoma for a wonderful centennial.  I also Tip my Hat to our sponsors for getting behind this event and allowing it to become a reality.  And to Everyone who helped push this event into the public eye:  THANK YOU !!!

Happy Trails Ya'l
